How can Quitzilla help me quit porn?
Quitzilla keeps count for the habit you're stepping away from. When you add Porn, you choose your reasons, enter roughly how much time it took and set when you last watched. From then on, the counter runs to the second and the app moves you from one goal to the next, from 1 day up to 10 years, celebrating your milestones along the way. It's a way to keep count, not therapy: if you'd like more support, a licensed therapist or counselor is a good person to talk to.
How does Quitzilla count the time I get back?
You tell the app how much time porn took, per day, week or month. Quitzilla multiplies that by your porn-free time, so the hours build up on the Time tab as your streak grows. When you first set up the app, it also shows how much time you'll reclaim in a month, a year and five years. You can move hours from your balance into investments you name yourself, such as Reading, Exercise or Journaling, and each one shows how much time you've put into it.
What happens to my streak if I watch porn again?
Log it as a relapse: the button is Log Relapse on iPhone and Reset Timer on Android. Your current streak and goal progress start again from the time you enter, but nothing before it is erased. Earlier porn-free periods stay in Statistics, including your longest one, and the calendar marks the day. A few words about what was going on, such as a stressful day or a night you couldn't sleep, can show you what to watch for next time.
Will anyone see that I'm tracking porn?
Your timer, diary and reasons are stored on your phone, and in your phone's backups if you have them turned on. Quitzilla has no servers of its own, so we don't keep copies of your entries. On iPhone, goal notifications never name the habit: they say things like "Your progress" or "Keep it up!", and the My Reasons widget doesn't show it either. On Android, goal notifications show the habit's icon, so you may prefer to turn off Progress Notifications in the app's settings. With Premium, you can also lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID on iPhone, or with a biometric lock on Android. To be open about one thing: on iPhone, the app's analytics records which habit template you add, or the name of a habit you create yourself, but not your diary, notes or times. Our privacy policy lists what each service receives.
Is Quitzilla free?
Yes, for up to two habits on iPhone and Android. The free version includes the porn-free counter, all built-in goals, statistics, your reasons, the diary and the time you save. With Premium you also get unlimited habits, charts, home screen widgets, goals you set yourself and your own habit colors.
